Hawk Channel, Ocean Harbor, proposed aid to navigation change-UPDATE

The following change has been approved to the Aids to Navigation System in Ocean Harbor:

 

Relocate Hen and Chickens Shoal Light 40 (LLNR 12195) as a single pile structure, with a focal plane height of 16 feet.

The following change has been proposed to the Aids to Navigation System in Ocean Harbor:

Relocate Hen and Chickens Shoal Light 40 (LLNR 12195) as a single pile structure, with a focal plane height of 16’.

Key West, Garrison Bight, nav aid destroyed

Garrison Bight Channel Approach Light 2 (LLNR 14985) is destroyed. The remains of the steel pile may pose a hazard to navigation. Wreckage is marked with a TRLB WR2, displaying a Fl Q R light. Mariners are advised to exercise caution while transiting the area.

FL: Hawk Channel, Largo Sound Channel, hazard to navigation

Largo Sound Channel Light 2 (LLNR 11770) is destroyed. The remains of the steel pile wreckage is protruding 3-4ft above the water. Wreckage has been marked with a TRLB WR2, displaying Fl Q R characterisitics. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.

FL: Elliott Key, Pacific Reef Daybeacon 2 destroyed

Pacific Reef Daybeacon 2 (LLNR 10960) is destroyed. The steel pile remains pose a hazard to navigation. Wreckage is marked with a TRLB WR2 displaying Fl Q R in position 25-22-29.924N/080-09-13.247W. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.

The U.S. Coast Guard received a report of Boot Key Harbor Daybeacon 21 (13815) the daymarks are missing. The steel pile may pose a hazard to navigation. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.

Garrison Bight Channel Light 17 (LLNR 15035) is destroyed. The remains of the concrete pile lie within the channel approximately 4 feet below the waterline. Wreckage is marked with a TRLB WR 17, Fl Q G characteristics. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.

FL: Vicinity Sugarloaf Key, Hawk Channel, sunken vessel

A temporary WR Lighted Buoy with Fl Q G characteristics has been established to mark a sunken S/V with its mast protruding approximately 6-8ftout of the water in approximate position 24-33.598N/081-35.348W approximately 2NM south of Sugarloaf. Mariners are advised to exercise extreme caution while transiting the area.
